Blair Hodges provided some notes from the recent FAIR Conference held in Provo (transcripts to be available soon). On day two of this conference, there were several speakers who had left the Church in the past over intellectual issues (objections to policies and actions, Church history problems, etc.), yet found their way back. Their honest and intriguing perspectives can give hope to many who doubt and many who have left or on the verge of leaving. It is good to see that there is room for doubt and even disagreement on some issues without having to abandon that which is good and divine in the Church. Their journey and their growth in understanding can be an example of many of us. I think I especially appreciated the comments of Maxine Hanks. Stay tuned for more.

Why are comments about abusive leadership deleted?
"Why are comments about abusive leadership deleted?"
An excellent question since the perpetrators of this sort of thing requires secrecy to continue.
My question is why are there comments about abuse here? Is this post about abuse? Don't think so.
The post is about people coming back who left over policy and/or actions. Witnessing abuse, or church leadership ignoring abuse certainly fits.
If you asked anonymous about the weather in Utah, his reply would be about abuse by Mormon Leadership.
Wow thats quite a stretch anon.
Hi anon,
Policy and actions were just a sub-set of the whole. To quote "objections to policies and actions, Church history problems, etc." There are many reasons why people excuse themselves from the Church.

Yes, I deleted an inappropriate and off-topic comment alleging abuse. This forum is not an excuse for dumping random nasty comments about Church leaders, and I reserve the right to delete inappropriate comments. This should be no surprise. I allow a lot of frank comments to be posted, but I do have limits. Stay on topic and don't be nasty or overly angry. Anti-Mormon website links will also be likely to be deleted, and I also dislike video links because people can sneak a lot of junk into a seemingly innocent video, and I don't want to spend the time to review videos from untrusted sources.
Ridiculous insults also may be deleted. Sorry.
when can we read it?
I left the church because of my lack of knowledge. Growing up on my parents testimony, and having a weak one for myself. The majority of my adult life a little more than 30 years I was inactive. However, I returned to the church a little more than a year ago after about 2 years or re-investigating. It was a pleasure watching my wife investigate the church, and build her testimony taking a half year. I baptized her last April. I now keep the gospel in my life daily. "Knowledge will build testimonies, and will lead to eternal life"
How cool 🙂 Has there been an official write up on this yet?
